The orange (Citrus sinensis) is an evergreen citrus plant belonging to the rue family (Rutaceae). The varieties we use, Navel and Tarocco, are particularly flavorful and are primarily grown in Sicily.

Navel oranges are seedless and feature a thick, wrinkled, bright orange skin. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and aromatic. In contrast, the Tarocco orange is known for its reddish-colored flesh and high juice content.

Our orange fruit preserve delights with its fruity, fresh aroma and is perfect on crispy buttered toast. It pairs wonderfully with ricotta or mascarpone and makes an ideal filling for croissants or a glaze for cheesecake. It also adds a special touch to a vinaigrette for summer salads.
